Sales Manager – UK (External Sales)

About the Role:
We’re looking for a dynamic and visionary Sales Manager to lead our UK external sales team. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll shape and execute our national sales strategy, drive growth, and inspire a team of around 20 sales professionals.
You’ll report directly to the Head of European Sales and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced, competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team
Drive strategic sales initiatives and market expansion
Analyse competitor trends and customer potential
Promote SICK’s solutions with a value-based, consultative approach
Manage pricing, contracts, and customer portfolios
Implement and optimise sales channels and territory coverage
Ensure team compliance with training and development plans
Essential Skills & Experience:
Degree-level education (preferably in business or electronics)
5+ years’ experience managing large sales teams in automation or industrial sectors
Strong leadership and change management capabilities
Proficient in CRM systems and sales forecasting
Commercial acumen with P&L and budget management experience
Strategic thinker with a customer-first mindset
